#69 Redirect CommOps docs URLs to final locations (when final URL is available)
Closed Opened by jflory7.

After tooling issues with Antorra are unblocked and URLs are stabilized, create redirection URLs for the CommOps sub-project docs to the finalized URLs.

Currently, the "old" URLs that will need redirects are as follows:

  • https://docs.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/subprojects/mindshare/docs/commops.html
  • https://docs.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/subprojects/mindshare/docs/contribute/join.html
  • https://docs.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/subprojects/mindshare/docs/contribute/first-steps.html
  • https://docs.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/subprojects/mindshare/docs/community-blog.html

I haven't kept up with some of the most recent changes to Antora for the docs. Is there a chance this issue is close to being resolved?

If not, that's fine, but I was curious if there was enough certainty with Antora to time-box this issue yet.

Good news! We're planning to do this for the whole site: https://taiga.fedorainfracloud.org/project/asamalik-antora-for-docs/us/44

If we need to prioritize, I'll make sure your URLs will be included. <-- mentioned this in the card.

Thanks! Once I get an update in this ticket, I will formally redirect our wiki pages to the docs site. :tada:

Unfortunately, the Fedora Taiga instance doesn't render on any browser on my Fedora system, so I can't view the card. Is there a time box / deadline for this task yet? I'm mostly curious if it will be complete by Flock.

@jflory7 That's weird, it works for me fine in Firefox and Chromium. :(

My goal is to get this done before Flock, yes.

@jflory7 Hi, the linked Taiga card is closed-done and redirects for the links listed above seem to work. Is there anything else that needs to happen with this issue, or can we close it now?

+1 to close this issue. Thanks for taking care of the redirects!
