This feature depends on the manual archiving feature (issue 44) being complete before it can be implemented.
The purpose of this feature is to make sure we don't have stale & inactive hubs all over the place. It's a bit of an automated tidy-up of inactive hubs. In a nutshell, hubs that have been inactive for at least 6 months are auto-archived at month 7.
There are a couple of components to this feature:
This notification will appear in the personal notification streams for group admins when the hub has had no activity in 6 months. Clicking on the button to cancel archival will give the hub another 6 month period after which the same notification / auto-archive action will be triggered.
If the admin does nothing, the hub will be auto-archived at month 7 of inactivity. The admin can always reactivate the hub if it does get auto-archived (via the hub admin menu.)
This sticky card will be visible to hub group owners/admins starting at 6 months of inactivity on the hub. It will remain until month 7 of inactivity, at which point the hub will be auto-archived.
