Article Summary:

SSSD 2.9.0 and FreeIPA 4.11.0 recently implemented a new feature, called passkey, to use FIDO2 authentication for centrally managed users. Fedora 39 already includes those versions, and thus, it’s the first distribution to enable FIDO2 authentication for centrally managed users.

The workflow to enable FIDO2 authentication is not difficult, but it contains several steps, and having a guide explaining how to do it would be useful. In addition, the article will help to spread the word about this feature.

@ipedrosa I've done an edit pass on your article. In general it looked pretty good. (Nice feature image, BTW).
I modified the bold code style to be "preformatted" to conform to the magazine standard, and made some minor modification to wording for clarification.

Please review it to verify that my changes have not modified your intent. ( @x3mboy ? )

I have tentatively planned for this to be published on 3 November. I will commit to that date when I hear from you or on 2 November.

Regarding the date, I'd prefer to postpone the publication until Fedora 39 is released. If you can match the two that would be great. If that is not possible, then I would prefer the article publication to happen after Fedora 39 has been released.

Holding the article until after the Fedora 39 release is not a problem. I will change the date on this ticket. There is usually a group of articles all coming out at release time so will probably publish soon after the actual release date.
