Hi @rlengland @mattdm, I'm commenting to share the approved image for this article, as per the approval received here: https://pagure.io/fedora-magazine-newsroom/issue/264

@obazeeconsole Would it be possible for you to increase the font size on that image? Sorry to backtrack on "approval" but it appears a bit small to me

Alright, I'm on it. ๐Ÿ“Œ

Would any of these adjusted images suffice?

The first one is better.

You could even go bigger, maybe 25-30%, and perhaps increase the size of just the 40 so it stands out.

This image will be viewed in places and on other sites where the image will not appear in as large a size as it does on the magazine so it's good to make the text stand out to be easily readable. But don't got nuts. :-)

Can you

  • center the text (both horizontally and vertically)
  • use only one font for the text instead of the fancy "40" (the styling of the 40 is neat, but in this case, I'd rather the name be in one consistent font)
  • use the white fedora logo instead of the blue one since the background is also a shade of blue
  • make the fedora logo about twice as large

Thanks.

I disagree with this, but I guess it is a matter of "taste". ๐Ÿ™‚

I bow to @glb experience and wisdom.

@glb @rlengland, please let me know if there are any other adjustments to make.

That isn't an official Fedora logo in the top image of your last post. We won't be able to use that.

The official Fedora "white" logo is here: https://gitlab.com/fedora/design/team/logos/fedora-project-logos/-/blob/main/brand-book-assets/logo-svgs/fedora_white-horizontal.svg?ref_type=heads

That is much better. I do agree with Richard about making the text larger. Be sure you don't distort the text (make sure you scale it equally percentagewise on the horizontal and vertical axes).

Thanks.

The second variation, which is slightly larger, extends beyond the boundaries of the geometric square in the background. However, I have sent both versions so that you can decide which one to stick with.

I think I like the first variation better. I like the way the logo ends up "north-west" of the "F" in Fedora. The logo is more "north by northwest" in the second version.
