#334 [Talk-50] The PinePhone: hardware, software and next steps
Closed: Talk Scheduled by riecatnor. Opened by kevin.

What is your proposal?

This talk would include:

  • going over the pine phone hardware ( https://www.pine64.org/pinephone/ )
  • talking about reasons for targeting this hardware by the Fedora Mobility SIG
  • State of Fedora proper and the mobility Remix
  • State of various applications and desktops
  • Help needed (spoiler: we need kernel folks to upstream support so we can use the Fedora kernel :)

Who in addition to the speaker needs to be in the virtual room for this to succeed? This could be the audience you need to reach, other participants in the conversation, or other stakeholders.

  • May be good to get some more/other folks from the mobility sig available to do parts of this talk
  • Might be good to get the folks working on kde/plasma mobile in Fedora to show off that

Kevin Fenzi (kevin)

50 minute Talk (I am not sure all this can fit, if not, perhaps it would be good to split the applications and desktops part into another talk?)

Name: Kevin Fenzi
FAS ID: kevin
IRC Nick, if not FAS ID: nirik
Timezone: PDT
Availability for August 5-8th: yep. I will be there.
