It would be useful for someone installing a SP that is auto-registering with Ipsilon to be able to discover what Identity Providers are available (SAML2, OpenID, etc.). Something like a REST interface would work well. We could use this in ipsilon-client-install to detect if the requested federation protocol is actually supported by the Ipsilon server.

This issue ticket was originally removed from the tracker as it clashed with the pull request.
