The SAML 2.0 conformance document lists a number of algorithms required to claim conformation. I wasn't able to discern one way or the other whether "XML Canonicalization: CanonicalXML (Without comments)" is provided by lasso/libxmlsec1 or not This needs further investigation.

This issue ticket was originally removed from the tracker as it clashed with the pull request.
