I will take this one. Because I need this to be able to continue removing pagure API from pagure-scm.

In order to get this client to Maven central repository we need to have a repository here https://central.sonatype.org/pages/ossrh-guide.html, because the maven central repository only takes projects from approved hosted repositories. See "Publishing your artifacts to the Central Repository" on https://maven.apache.org/repository/guide-central-repository-upload.html

Is this suitable for this project? I'm not sure if we can automate this process when new version is released.

I found this ticket after 4 years, let's close it I don't think this is still needed.
