#10268 Retire FTI packages from Fedora 35 one week before the beta freeze
Closed: Fixed by churchyard. Opened by churchyard.

I will do this, no need to take any action.

DO NOT TAKE ACTION before the list is updated on the target date, 2021-08-17.

  • Describe the issue

The policy https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/ says:

A week before the scheduled beta freeze, any packages which have open FTI bugs in the NEW state for at least 8 weeks with at least 2 reminder comments will be retired from the relevant release and rawhide (in addition to being orphaned).

8 weeks means bugzillas opened on 2021-06-22 or sooner.

Currently, that is:

python-lzo
python-aenum
python-jsons
autoarchive
python-mtg
python-furl
python-minibelt
python-orderedmultidict
python-schedule
python-losant-rest
python-soco
gnome-gmail
python-aiostream
python-twilio
python-diskcache
python-jsonfield
eclipse
maven-license-plugin
eclipse-m2e-core
eclipse-mpc
xmms-pulse
python-databay
python-django-post_office
python-flask-autoindex
python-flask-silk
python-siosocks
jboss-jsp-2.2-api
kawa
msv
sunflow
xstream

  • When do you need this? (2021/08/17)

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (2021/08/24)

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

Packages that fail to install for a long time will be present in Fedora 35 Beta.

Thanks @churchyard for helping us with this.
