Describe the issue maliit-framework is a stalled EPEL package. Per the EPEL stalled package policy - https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-policy/#stalled_epel_requests - I have contacted the maintainer, twice, and waited the appropriate amount of time. This is a KDE required package, and I am requesting kde-sig admin permission for this package. I am a part of the kde-sig, so this would give me the correct permissions to branch and build them in epel8 and epel8-next. If you need a specific user, then add me, tdawson with the permissions.
When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD) 2021/10/06
When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD) N/A
If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact? We cannot update epel8 plasma-desktop to it's latest version. This updated version has many critical bugfixes implemented.
So I as the maintainer don't care about EPEL, but there is already a KDE maintainer @rdieter as a co-maintainer so I don't see why this ticket is even a thing as the KDE team has the ability to branch this themselves.
Because Rex has been crazy busy both in his day job and getting the latest KDE Plasma working in Rawhide and the Fedora's. This has happened in the past (not just with Rex). I am following EPEL's policies so packages don't get stalled for too long.
@pbrobinson Since @rdieter is busy and unavailable, is it okay if I can add @tdawson to the package?

So I don't believe the process has been followed as there wasn't a week go by with no response, the fact that the KDE rep was busy isn't my problem, I am busy as well.
I don't feel it's fair that I'm bullied by this if the KDE SIG is not able to communicate and is hence non functional.
I'm sorry you felt like we were bullying you. You did the right thing in saying in the bugzilla who the correct person was to contact.
Unfortunately due to the wording of the current EPEL policy, any response invalidates the procedure, even if the response is "I'm not the right person". We are in the process of re-wording the EPEL policy so this doesn't happen again.
kde-sig has been added by Rex. Closing ticket.

I've removed myself from the package in protest.
