#10343 Untag several packages from epel testing tags
Closed: Fixed by humaton. Opened by tdawson.

  • Describe the issue
Over the years, do to one hiccup or another various packages have been tagged into epel7 or epel8, but not untagged from their -testing or -testing-pending tags. At this point there is now over 700 of these packages.

I have attached files in the format untag.from.
Please untag the packages listed in the files from the tag of the filename.

Note: Just because a package is listed in -testing-pending does not mean it's in -testing. It seems there were several hiccups going from testing-pending to -testing.
* When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
2021/10/20

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    N/A

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
    Nothing major.
We have some scripts checking to make sure packages are install-able. Having the same package in several tags checks the same package multiple times.
It also might confuse some people as they are looking at things.

Looks like the files didn't attach. Here they are.
