#10525 rdma-core.i686 not considered as multilib (missing in repository, breaks F33 -> F34 -> F35)
Closed: Invalid by robert. Opened by robert.

  • Describe the issue
    Updating from Fedora 33 to 34 and from 34 to 35 fails each time like this:
Error:
 Problem: rdma-core-37.0-1.fc34.i686 has inferior architecture
  - rdma-core-37.0-1.fc34.x86_64 does not belong to a distupgrade repository
  - problem with installed package rdma-core-37.0-1.fc34.i686
(try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages)

Removing the package rdma-core.i686 is not really an option as dnf suggests then to remove large parts of the 32 bit packages required for various legacy/compatibility reasons.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    ASAP :)

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    n/a

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
    n/a, this can be fixed (should be similar like #729)

Sorry, for the noise. As pointed out by @kevin, this is a packaging bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1956631
