#10669 Stalled EPEL packages: xl2tpd NetworkManager-pptp NetworkManager-openvpn
Closed: Fixed by humaton. Opened by tdawson.

  • Describe the issue
xl2tpd NetworkManager-pptp and NetworkManager-openvpn are stalled EPEL packages.
Per the EPEL stalled package policy - https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-policy/#stalled_epel_requests - I have contacted the maintainers, twice, and waited the appropriate amount of time.

    https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2053733

I am requesting tdawson be given commit permissions so that I might branch and build these packages in epel9.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    N/A

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
These packages are runtime dependencies for several KDE Plasma packages related to networking. The current maintainers have not responded at all. I am willing to maintain the packages in epel9. Not having these packages in epel9 would hamper the networking abilities of the KDE Plasma Desktop in epel9.
