#11629 toddler crashes processing dist-git branch requests
Closed: It's all good by decathorpe. Opened by decathorpe.

  • Describe the issue

Looks like the toddler that processes dist-git branch requests crashes when handling tickets for creation of "f38" branches, but works in general, because "f37" branch requests succeed:

  • f38 branch request: https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/55631
  • f37 request for same repo: https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/55632

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)

ASAP. I need to merge updates from f39/rawhide to f38, which involve compat packages. The longer I can't do this the more difficult it will get due to increasing divergence between f38 and f39.

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)

N/A

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

I cannot update dozens of packages in Fedora 38 (potentially also affecting Rusty GNOME applications or librsvg2).

Welp, it's now crashing for f37 branches too:

update: retrying a bunch of times makes it work eventually ...

I've downgraded pdc-client on it, which I think might be what broke things...

can you see if it's any better now?

It seems to be processing my requests now.

Hm ... I can't try really, I've done all the requesting I wanted to do for today. The ones I filed earlier all eventually succeeded (after prodding it to retry multiple times).

But thinking about it, I can do some branch requests that I would otherwise have filed tomorrow today instead. I'll report back about how that goes.

so, this might have been due to general proxy issues...

Is it still happening to anyone?
