Closed: Fixed by jnsamyak. Opened by tdawson.

  • Describe the issue
noopenh264 and libbs2b are stalled EPEL packages.
Per the EPEL stalled package policy - https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-policy/#stalled_epel_requests - we have contacted the maintainers, twice, and waited the appropriate amount of time.

I am a member of the multimedia-sig and I am requesting the multimedia-sig be given commit permissions so that I, or a member of the SIG, might branch and build these packages in epel10.
At the very least, please give me commit permissions so I might branch and build these packages in epel10.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    2024/10/11

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    N/A

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
These two packages are critical packages needed for ffmpeg. If we cannot build ffmpeg in epel10, several other packages will not be able to be built.
