  • Describe the issue
ufw is a stalled EPEL package.
Per the EPEL stalled package policy - https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-policy/#stalled_epel_requests - I have contacted the maintainer, twice, and waited the appropriate amount of time.
    https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2319800
I am requesting tdawson be given commit permissions ufw so that I might branch and build it in epel10.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    2024/11/12

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    N/A

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
UFW is required to install the plasma-firewall-ufw package in the KDE Plasma Desktop.

@tdawson we don't need ufw in EPEL, we can just turn the ufw backend off in plasma-firewall in EPEL.

ufw backend is switched off now: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/plasma-firewall/c/91a86f49497d9f96b3ba2d000a2b1b958f538c98
