#12758 FAILED: BuildError: package python-datanommer-commands not in list for tag f43-updates-candidate
Closed: Fixed by zlopez. Opened by zlopez.

  • Describe the issue
I'm trying to build https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/datanommer-commands after it was unretired in https://pagure.io/releng/issue/12597. But I'm hitting this error when trying to build it in koji:
FAILED: BuildError: package python-datanommer-commands not in list for tag f43-updates-candidate

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
Not urgent, but sooner is better

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
When datanommer is no longer around

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
    No datanommer checks in infrastructure

The issue is probably in the name of the repository not reflecting the name of the package.
As I see it there are two options to go forward:

  1. Rename the package to datanommer-commands
  2. Rename the repository to python-datanommer-commands

What is the preferred method?

That's right, or 3rd option I can create an instance on koji that has same name as a package, but it is the worse one, so feel free to rename package or repo, I prefer changing the repo name, because there are simular package names like python-datanommer-models so it would be easier to find.

I requested a new package for python-datanommer-commands https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/76362

The new package was successfully built and the old package is now retired. Thanks for the help.
