    Periodically, Lenovo ask me for an updated Fedora Workstation image for a stable release which they can use as a preload. I usually grab a random one from openQA, make sure it vaguely works, and put it up in my fedorapeople space. Then I forget what it's doing there and delete it, and @mpearson mails me and says "why did you delete our image" and everyone is sad. The last time this happened he asked me to put the image in https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/live-respins-archive/ , but I don't really want to do that because the openQA images aren't part of the live-respins project. Could we maybe create a /lenovo-preloads directory or something in alt/ ? I mean, I can technically do it, but I figured I should get agreement first...

    I'll keep putting the images in my personal space then forgetting what they're for and deleting them and Mark will continue to be sad. (Or I guess I could create a folder in my personal space and remember not to delete it, but it still seems a bit more 'professional' to put them on dl.fp.o...)

I thought we did have a place we put these when releng did them... but I can't seem to find it now. ;(

There's a alt/qa space that hasn't been used in 12 years... perhaps we could re-use that? but might be misleading.

If we do go with a new name... I think we should put archive or something in the name so people dont go looking for it for new content... 'lenovo-preloads-archive' ?

sure! wfm. I don't think using the qa space totally makes sense, because this isn't really a 'qa' thing, it just happens to go through us because openqa happens to be a handy source of frequent image rebuilds that are done similarly to the official release images.

Let's not include lenovo as the prefix in the name. I have a feeling we'll be doing this for more OEMs over time.

they may not all want the same images, though. but we could have an oem-preload-archive dir with a lenovo subdir, I guess?

OK, https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/oem-preload-archive/ now exists, and @mpearson the image you wanted is in the lenovo/ directory. are there any others that should go there?
