#7665 fedpkg retire doesn't change owner to orphan
Closed: Invalid Opened by ignatenkobrain.

  • Describe the issue

I have some number of packages which I have retired, however I'm still listed in dist-git as a main admin and @rust-sig as a committer.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)

Anytime.

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

Some of the packages will still list me as admin which will make my scripts harder because I will need to check if package is retired or not.

https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/gnome-themes-standard also lists me as an admin but it's retired.

Retiring a package is just for one branch but ownership is for all branches. Therefore retiring a package in Rawhide/master does not imply that the package should also be orphaned completely since bug reports in active branches should still be handled. There is a possibility to override owners via an extra repo but I am not sure how well this is integrated into all tools. Therefore I would assume this cannot be easily fixed atm.
