    I'd like to take over the maven package.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    As soon as possible, before it is retired.

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
    As a Java developer the impact of not having a maven package is huge across the Java ecosystem

You don't seem to be in the packagers group @las0mbra. Is that correct?

That is correct @churchyard. I just jumped in to maintain Maven and am getting the hang of it. Sorry if I seem too eager.

Please join the package collection maintainers before you apply for package ownership.
