#8577 Request for ownership of package menu-cache
Closed: Fixed by zsun. Opened by zsun.

  • Describe the issue
The package menu-cache is owned by @cwickert . And from this email thread I know that he is no longer actively maintaining his packages.
Currently I am the active maintainer of LXQt Desktop. menu-cache is used by some of LXQt packages. I've filed a bug to get menu-cache updated in EPEL7 but it only get response after a long time.

Since cwickert is open for new maintainers, I would like to request for the ownership or commit access to menu-cache.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    As soon as possible.

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    None

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
No seriou impact since I can always find some proven-packager to update if really needed. But sometimes it is not in a timely manner.

@zsun Please follow this https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Policy_for_nonresponsive_package_maintainers/ for picking up packages maintained by unresponsive maintainer.

Hi,

In the email thread the unresponsive maintainer procedure was acted before. So does this mean I need to reproduce the whole procedure again to request for this? If so, I'll reproduce the whole procedure again.

:100:
Well, @than is the admin currently, according to FAS. He's unresponsive in IRC, tried several times to ping him (nick than_pto).

than_pto -> is seems he is on vacation (PTO).

I finally met Than on IRC and now he granted me permission. So we are unblocked and I'm closing this.
