  • Describe the issue
    I would like to build images for the PinePhone using Koji image-build. I have kickstart files with all the necessary packages for phones, but I need a good way to build them.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    As soon as convenient.

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    Whenever all the PinePhone patches make their way up into the upstream kernel.

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
    Building and sharing images for Linux Phones will become much more difficult.

Nice. I'm not a member of releng so I can't grant you access, but I know a decent amount about building images and I've been watching the pinephone efforts with interest. If you have questions grab me in IRC (dustymabe on freenode).

I'm happy to grant you access, but I think this will be too limiting for the current prototyping stage...

images built in koji:
* Only use fedora-kickstarts for ks files, so you would need to add your kickstart there and use PR's to update it. ;(
* Only use Fedora packages. You can't include anything thats not an officially built fedora package. (No custom kernel, no coprs, no random other rpms).

Let us know if this is still of use to you...or if you would like to wait until the vanilla kernel and packages has better support.

I'm also very happy to help out (I have a pinephone.... my serial cable is on the way).

Ah, this probably won't work then. I still have a few packages in COPR and a custom kernel.

Yes, that's my exact thoughts as well. I have access and are helping to mentor, there's a lot more work to do before we get to this stage.

I also have enough HW to run imagebuilder so was planning when it gets a little further a long to produce images on a regular basis (but I think we have a little more to do there as well).
