How did you configure the repositories? Are you using media:// URLs?

How did you configure the repositories? Are you using media:// URLs?

I've just mounted the DVD media under /FC7, and addedd a local repository.
I've tried with file:// and http:// (with local apache) with same results.
Here follow my repository definitions:

try #1
[root@localhost Downloads]# tail -5 /etc/revisor/conf.d/revisor-f7-i386.conf
[fedora-local]
name=Fedora 7 - Moonshine - i386 - DVD
baseurl=file:///FC7/
enabled=0
gpgcheck=1

try#2
[root@localhost Downloads]# tail -5 /etc/revisor/conf.d/revisor-f7-i386.conf
[fedora-local]
name=Fedora 7 - Moonshine - i386 - DVD
baseurl=http://localhost/FC7/
enabled=0
gpgcheck=1

Everything looks working fine until "downloading packages" is started.

Thanks.

Andrea

I just tested mounting a DVD under /mnt/fedora-7 and I am succesfully spinning right now. What version of yum and what version of revisor do you have currently? Use:

{{{
rpm -qv yum revisor
}}}

I've just updated yum
I had
yum-3.2.0-1.fc7
revisor-2.0.4.1-2.fc7
Now I have:
[root@localhost ~]# rpm -qv yum revisor
yum-3.2.1-1.fc7
revisor-2.0.4.1-2.fc7

... and now I'm happily re-spinnig my Fedora 7 DVD
into a 5 CD installation kit. :)
Thanks for your support.
PS: Perhaps the revisor rpm needs one more dependency check?

Ciao.

Andrea.

Maybe we do, but this happens only when the repository metadata (repodata/ on your DVD) has references to being media repodata (like a DVD or CD repository normally has). We can't really explicitly depend on a newer yum version just for this use case alone. I'm gonna take this to our development mailing list though, and see what others think might be a proper solution. Thank you for your feedback!

Nope- still broke. I just yum'd Revisor and attempted to build a CD set:

Everything is up to date as of sept 1, pup reports nothing needing update.

Following the guideline from http://revisor.fedoraunity.org/documentation/creating-a-cd-set-from-a-dvd
I had a problem with "bad configuration file".
It appears that the problem was in using the suggested:
baseurl=file:///media/Fedora\ 7\ i386\ DVD/
On a hunch, I umountd the /media/Fedora\ 7\ i386\ DVD/
and did a mount /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdrom, then replaced the baseurl with:
baseurl=file:///mnt/cdrom/
and at that point the revisor continued without complaint.
Apparently revisor does NOT like the embedded blanks in the mount point.

Maybe that is related to this thread?

The latest error is a faulty packaging order from anaconda-runtime which has been fixed in Revisor
