The kernel changelog is usually really long, with many different issues addressed per build, and thus using the first line of the changelog generally isn't a very good way to summarize a build. I'm hand-generating a changelog for commits with something more apropos, such as "RHEL5 kernel build 2.6.18-307.el5", and then appending all the changelog info. It'd look less quirky if the first line of the clog dump didn't have the leading "- " removed and a newline appended. Something like "rhpkg clog --raw" that skipped twiddling that first line would be very much welcomed.
