Fedora package python-boututils @ current rawhide rbanch (e.g. f8a8deebfe2af24ebcf65fffc8b99c2b6201a8df) has:
Patch0: ./0001-pytest-no-cov.patch
See https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-boututils/blob/f8a8deebfe2af24ebcf65fffc8b99c2b6201a8df/f/python-boututils.spec#_14
This makes the pre-push hook fail:
$ git push ... Source file './0001-pytest-no-cov.patch' was neither listed in the 'sources' file nor tracked in git nor listed in additional sources. Push operation was cancelled Hint: this check (.git/hooks/pre-push script) can be bypassed by adding the argument '--no-verify' argument to the push command.
To reproduce safely, you can create fork and try pushing current rawhide into your f42 branch in your fork.
$ fedpkg clone python-boututils $ cd python-boututils [python-boututils (rawhide)]$ fedpkg fork ... [python-boututils (rawhide)]$ git switch -c f42 Switched to a new branch 'f42' [python-boututils (f42)]$ git push -u churchyard f42 Source file './0001-pytest-no-cov.patch' was neither listed in the 'sources' file nor tracked in git nor listed in additional sources. Push operation was cancelled Hint: this check (.git/hooks/pre-push script) can be bypassed by adding the argument '--no-verify' argument to the push command. error: failed to push some refs to 'ssh://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/forks/churchyard/rpms/python-boututils.git'
The file is tracked in git, but using a non-common path ./0001-pytest-no-cov.patch makes the check think it's not.
./0001-pytest-no-cov.patch
