This repo serves as the "source" for https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/setup. But having the two repositories just creates busywork. Let's instead move everything to the other repo and close this one.
I volunteer to provide the pull request to dist-git to move over the contents if there is agreement to do this.
Yeah, that would make sense to me. I often synced changes introduced by PR here and there effectively duplicating the same work.
IMHO, there is no need to have the files in an extra archive, and having them directly in the repo would be nice.
The check build target from Makefile would need to be incorporated into the spec though.
But I might be overlooking some reason/benefit for having the files in a separate archive/separate repo, @ovasik pls, could you check this?
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/setup/pull-request/9 does the conversion.
The pull request has been merged. Does pagure have a concept of archiving of projects? It'd be good to mark this here as "not used anymore".
Update the readme, and turn off issues and PRs.
Well, instead of turning off issues, set them read-only.
The merge has happened in Fedora. So I think it's time to close this repo. There is one other open issue. I'd ask the reporters to open a bugzilla if appropriate and close it too.
I know about this. I will investigate that issue as it seems legit and open BZ for it if needed.
I will disable everything here, but I want to keep the repo to retain the commit/history of changes to individual files so anyone can find out the reasoning behind the contents of the files in the new location.
Metadata Update from @mosvald: - Issue status updated to: Closed (was: Open)
I just closed the option for pull requests and changed the project description slightly to reflect the current state.
I will upload README soon to have better formatting of what is in the description now.
